Apple has confirmed that its Worldwide Developers Conference will take place in just a few weeks, June 9-13.

With the tagline of “On the horizon” the company promises, once again, a “week of technology, innovation, and creativity” at its hugely important show, where we expect to find out a lot more both about its products and operating systems, and also some of the work it is doing around AI.

WWDC begins with keynote June 9

As is customary, the event includes both the important Keynote and Platforms State of the Union events.

The keynote will take place June 9 at 10am PDT. The company promises a “first look at the groundbreaking updates coming to Apple platforms,” during this part of the event, which will be streamed on Apple’s site and also made available via the TV app, YouTube and online.

The subsequent Platforms State of the Union presentation will take a deeper dive into the new tools the company has built.

“Throughout the week, developers around the world can connect with Apple engineers, designers, and evangelists, and watch more than 100 sessions that will help them discover the newest enhancements to build platform-differentiating apps and games across Apple products. Apple will also welcome more than 1,000 developers and students to celebrate in person during a special event at Apple Park on June 9,” the company said.

Will the announcements also include additional AI services?

What to expect

WWDC is aimed at developers, so will feature in excess of 100 technical sessions, which will be available on the Apple Developer app, website, and YouTube channel.

Developers will also be able to access guides and documentation for new features, while Apple Developer Program members and Apple Developer Enterprise Program members will have a chance to connect directly with Apple experts through online group labs and one-on-one appointments.
