Proton VPN is now available on Apple TV & Vision Pro

Great news for Apple TV users as Proton has introduced its highly secure VPN network, Proton VPN, to Apple TV. It means you can watch what you want, where you want, and protect your own privacy when you do.

Keeping your digital lives private

Proton VPN was developed by the same team of scientists that created Proton Mail, the world’s largest encrypted email service. Designed to be easy-to-use, Proton VPN for tvOS can keep your viewing habits private and – probably the big draw for many users – let you instantly access content from nations outside of the one you are in. This might be the best way to access iPlayer when you take a holiday, for example, or to avoid any form of censorship.

The tvOS app has been with larger icons to be clear and easy to use on the TV. It is also designed to be operated using a TV remote control, rather than the usual touchscreen interface. In use you can access any one of Proton VPN’s 8,500+ servers across 112 countries to watch their favorite content in 4K.

Now also available for Vision Pro

Based on the Proton VPN iPad app, Proton VPN is also now compatible with Apple’s Vision Pro. This may well be a very important deal for business users, as it enables them to protect their privacy during their work or gaming sessions when at home or traveling.

What the company says

David Peterson, General Manager Proton VPN, says: “We are proud to announce our new Proton VPN app for tvOS, which was one of the most expected and requested features by our community, as well as our compatibility with Apple Vision Pro. Today’s releases represent an important step in Proton’s mission to help all users take control of their data on every platform and device.”

A new frontier

This is just the latest chapter from ProtonVPN. The company is on a constant mission to provide customers with the kind of security and privacy they deserve to expect wherever they go. This new app enables people everywhere to access their favorite content including TV shows, movies, live sports and content from services such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+ and others. But other apps in the company’s portfolio enable them to protect so many more aspects of their digital lives.
