Apple, JPMorgan Chase lead Dow’s 500-point rally

On Friday afternoon, Apple and JPMorgan Chase shares are experiencing upward momentum, driving the Dow Jones Industrial Average’s rally. The Dow Jones Industrial Average has climbed 505 points, a 1.3% increase, with Apple Inc. and JPMorgan Chase & Co. shares accounting for approximately one-fourth of the index’s intraday surge.

MarketWatch:

Apple’s shares are up $8.21, or 4.3%, while those of JPMorgan Chase are up $8.11 (3.6%), combining for a roughly 100-point bump for the Dow.

Other components contributing significantly to the gain include Visa Visa Inc. Cl A, NVIDIA Corp. NVIDIA Corp., and IBM International Business Machines Corp.

A $1 move in any of the index’s 30 components results in a 6.15-point swing.
