AirDisk Pro takes advantage of Bluetooth to communicate with nearby devices and transfer files. Users can also connect to any cloud storage provider, like iCloud, Dropbox, Google Drive or OneDrive, to transfer, view, and stream music and video.

“No wires, no internet, no hassle. Just launch AirDisk Pro on your iOS device to share files across different platforms,” says the app’s lead developer Felix Yew. “Today’s phones already have ample storage space, so being able to use them as portable storage devices makes a lot of sense.”

To share files between iOS devices, AirDisk Pro takes advantage of Bluetooth to communicate with nearby devices and transfer files without the need for cables or internet connectivity. Sharing between mobile devices and a Mac or PC is just as simple, as long as they are on the same local network. “Once connected to a desktop device, you can drag and drop files from the Finder or Windows Explorer to the phone,” says Yew. “It couldn’t be simpler.”

An in-app purchase unlocks additional premium cloud features to connect the phone to multiple popular online services like Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive, and iCloud Drive. This feature allows streamlined access and file management across various cloud platforms in a single app.

“Most of us use a bunch of competing cloud services,” explains Yew. “People with iPhones do work on PCs. iOS users store files on Google Drive but watch movies on their iPad. Having those different devices and services play nicely together is exactly what AirDisk Pro is about.”

While storing and transferring files is the app’s headline feature, it is also a very capable document reader and media player. AirDisk Pro includes a feature-packed music and movie player, as well as viewers for PDFs, Microsoft Office, Pages, Numbers, among other apps.
