Output Factory Server for InDesign Adds M1 Support, Improves Mail Alerts prMac

[ad_1]

[prMac.com] Toronto (ON), Canada – Zevrix Solutions today announces the release of Output Factory Server 3.0.23, a maintenance update to the company’s output automation solution for Adobe InDesign. The software automates InDesign production workflows by processing files from watched hot folders. True to its name, Output Factory Server provides printers and publishing companies with conveyor-style industrial output facilities that reduce manual labor and save InDesign operators countless hours of tedious repetitive tasks.

The new update adds native support for Apple’s M1 chip, which enables users of a Mac with Silicon processor to use Output Factory Server on their device without hardware emulation. In addition, the new update improves the variable content of email notifications and fixes an issue in which some skipped InDesign jobs weren’t added to the processing history list.

The new version also addresses the issue of redesigned alert dialogs introduced by Apple on macOS Big Sur. Apple’s poor design decisions resulted in inferior alert dialogs with substandard layout, poor legibility, and inability to properly display longer messages. In order to rectify this situation and provide customers with superior user experience, Zevrix replaced Apple’s alerts on Big Sur with its own custom windows. The alert dialogs in Output Factory Server now restore the human-oriented design and layout from pre-Big Sur systems.

Output Factory Server is intended to run on a dedicated Mac station and serve unlimited users on a network via watched hot folders:

* Automate InDesign output from hot folders
* Support for print, PDF, PostScript, EPUB and other formats
* Built-in LinkOptimizer Server for InDesign image workflows
* Layer versioning
* Variable output file names
* Preflight files before output
* Automatic e-mail notifications

Pricing and Availability:
Output Factory Server with built-in LinkOptimizer Server can be purchased from Zevrix web site for $699.95 (USD), as well as from authorized resellers. Trial is also available for download. The update is free for the licensed users of Output Factory Server 3 and $350 for the users of earlier Output Factory Server versions and BatchOutput Server. Output Factory Server requires macOS 10.12 or later and Adobe InDesign CC 2018-2021.
